Rock al Parque 2016 was a great edition of the festival. There was a special vibrancy that fluctuated joyfully throughout the three days of the event. We went from seeing Sepultura celebrating their 30-year career to Baroness presenting their repertoire for the first time in Bogotá, in front of an audience that was prepared to see them and sing their songs. We rediscovered our love for Latin American folklore watching Banda Conmoción and danced to the irreverent antics of Compadres Recerdos. We were swept away by the stories of Burning Caravan and moshed again to the old songs of Todos tus muertos.

It was a diverse festival (how that word bothers the radical fascists at heart!), It was a well-balanced festival, where it was clear there's a new generation of attendees who want to enjoy music without being confined to a narrow definition of genres. It was a good Rock al Parque, we have to admit. That's why we like to remember it through... Fantastic photos by our guest Karin Richter, who came from Medellín a year ago to collaborate with us and showcase her talent, her keen eye, and her passion for performance. We have dared to select what we consider her best snapshots to commemorate the great performances on the festival's three stages. Among them are images that move and impact us.

Karin: We take this opportunity to thank you again for your great work. We hope to see you at the Park again.
