It's time to pay tribute to the designers connected to the Latin American music scene. And especially to those who have become involved with independent artists and labels, ensuring that the record releases showcased in Bandcamp (in our opinion, the most interesting digital platform for promoting new talent), stand out and manage to attract the audience's attention. We have selected 136 album covers, compilations, EPs and singles that have started to appear on social media since the beginning of this year, that impress with their quality, their work and the immediate curiosity that their images arouse for the sound product.

There's everything here, Lots of illustration, fine photography, refreshing typographic games, and detailed tributes to great legends of graphic art. The designers' work is linked to all kinds of music made on our continent. We have everything from pastel-colored references to pop-related recordings, to very interesting and chilling references to the decay denounced by metal, hardcore, and punk. There are really a lot of labels to describe the productions cited here.

We propose an exercise: Imagine you are in a large store and instead of looking for something specific, you have fun selecting records by their covers. Just like many people do when they enter a large music store, like those that existed three decades ago or the vinyl warehouses that exist today in big cities, and feed their curiosity. It's as if they stroll along the shelves of that vast space, seeing the images that catch their eye and imagining whether that's the right record to listen to and buy to add to their collection. Warning: We chose the titles because of their covers.. There's some interesting material, and some other stuff (it has to be said) that, without meaning to offend anyone, has a rather peculiar sound. This is part of the underground scene in this hemisphere, and it should be understood as such. Anyway, thanks in advance for sharing this with your friends and loved ones.
