Times are coming In Latin America, we will divide our time between the World Cup and the festivals and concerts in each of our cities. We'll be like zombies, waking up at the crack of dawn to watch the ball roll, and then, feeling daring, perhaps after a long day at work (maybe?), we'll head out for live music nights, at least on weekends. The multicultural/sporting experience will be so intense, that some will surely end up confusing Messi with Ricardo Mollo and Lali Espósito with Cristiano Ronaldo. We'll shout "goal!" amidst the songs and dance to the rhythm of the dribbling. In any case, we'll be wearing far less clothing than anyone living in Qatar, despite the unbearable local heat., And we will celebrate with more alcohol than has ever been seen in any corner of the Persian Gulf. We'll hear more hymns than we'd like, and the faithful will attend all their ceremonial prayers, both at dawn and at night. Perhaps the holy cards of our favorite saints will accompany us for 24 hours straight, and we'll feel their presence amidst the musical repertoire. At the Zonagirante.com office We'll have a picture of El Diego hanging up, and we'll miss him, almost crying., But in the end we will know that, if everything goes well, we will celebrate the final results with their memory stuck in our minds and on our lips.
