Her voice reflects the passage of time, but her singing still moves you. Sixty-five years don't pass in vain, but Charly García He still finds a way to adjust his intonation, and of course, His inquisitive irony remains ever-present.

We say all this because the artist with the two-toned mustache released a new song that gives a preview of what his next album will be like., Random. The song is called The happiness machine And it starts to appeal right from the title. Sarcastically, the Argentinian artist He presents himself as a kind of psychologist/inventor/demigod who has found a mechanical way to make our days look better and invites us to enjoy his new creation:

«"We ask for forgiveness."
Running, masking the end
That's why I looked for you
That's why I designed
The happiness machine.

The composition, a kind of dreamy and flirtatious blues ballad,  It looks like the opening credits of a television program that longs for things that never existed. It talks about «"artificial innocence"» and of contraptions that take the form of a fish, but it's still what he's talking about It's about recovering laughter amidst widespread loneliness and suffering. The song tries to lift our spirits, even though its performance feels nostalgic and contains moments of a sad spirit. Nevertheless, it manages to give us goosebumps when it says:

«"The happiness machine
The Pope has it
I have it.

In short, Charly García is holding his own and continues to surprise. His talent lies in his ability to play with fantastic melodies and lead us astray from our usual, boring path to show us other, more captivating routes. I must reiterate, his voice sounds somewhat tired., But Charly continues to do things right.
