José Ganbour presents District and Popular, A short documentary chronicle about Rock al Parque, in which many voices (including my own) narrate their experience and seek to answer several questions, but one in particular, which traces the thread of everything: Who does Rock Al Parque serve?

It's a visually simple piece, edited with good pacing. Although it sometimes relies too heavily on the verbal/testimonial, the "choral" (multi-voiced) feeling produced by the shared narrative and collective memory of the festival, It is an endearing common thread, which guides the viewer of the documentary directly to the fundamental questions.

And that is precisely the great strength of District and popularIt is structured around questions. In a world where we are so often left with apparent certainties, Gandour asks questions, and asks questions of others. In the end, the product is rich in content., Precisely because it is the viewer of this short documentary who is responsible for answering the true purpose of that phenomenon called Rock Al Parque. Hopefully this will be the first of many audiovisual products from Zonagirante.com, and from my friend José Gandour.
