Of all the activities organized by private entertainment promoters in the Colombian capital that we like the most, we definitely include, without a doubt, the Beautiful Noise Festival. This event, which drew inspiration from SXSW in Austin, Texas, has strived to cultivate a growing pool of young talent and attract new audiences to emerging artists and contemporary sounds. Hermoso Ruido is heading into its sixth edition., to be held between October 25 and 27 in the areas with the highest activity levels in the city's entertainment district.
This time, and awaiting confirmation of a second batch of artists, the following musical proposals are announced: Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, France, Spain, Ecuador, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama and Puerto Rico, With sounds akin to alternative pop, rock, trap, electronica, fusion, and folk, and featuring diverse forms and formats that are undeniably contemporary. At first glance, we're excited by the presence of several names, including the one from Chocó. Mabiland, beautiful woman with a powerful soul voice, with strong hip hop roots; Alejandro and Maria Laura, a Peruvian proposal of acoustic content that in recent times has toured much of the planet; Indians, an Argentinian band, an important element in the renewal of the rock scene in their country; Melmak 69, representative of the growing wave of Colombian hip hop, and Long live Sweden, one of the most prominent names in Spanish independent pop rock at the moment.
Some names are missing, and we'll surely know them soon, but for now, the sixth edition of Hermoso Ruido looks interesting and will bring, we are confident, a good dose of musical satisfaction.
