It is no exaggeration to say that Silver Revolver It has been one of the best offerings that Colombian rock has ever had. Mauricio Colmenares and his bandmates amassed throughout their career a great collection of finely crafted songs with striking melodies., enveloped in a sound that we could simply and forcefully define as "Latin rock"«. Topics such as I am a stranger, Crows on a Rope, Dragonfly y Gunman, These, among others, are already deservedly etched in the memory of fans and bear witness to the possibility of good music in Bogotá and its surroundings during these years.
Now, Silver Revolver has announced, after a little over five years on stage, the end of his journey. The truth is, although the news hurts, it doesn't surprise us. We won't go into details, though, since it's not worth engaging in celebrity gossip or making unfounded accusations. That said, we do regret it, because Few groups have had that mix of artistic brilliance and inspiring rebellion surrounding their spirit. It is better to remember them for their work and the good times they gave us.
We have reviewed our archive and found several notes dedicated to reviewing his work, but We have chosen to recall a program we did together during the times of Rebel music session, Our segment on the now-defunct Konrad Lorenz University radio station, recorded on May 7, 2014. It was a conversation that, unsurprisingly, they arrived a few minutes late to, but once everyone was seated, it unfolded in a lively and enjoyable manner. Also, to bring their run to a fitting close, we released their final song, called Go back.
Guys, thanks for everything. Hopefully we'll hear some good musical news from all of you soon. In the meantime, We'll keep their great recordings, which will help us overcome our nostalgia.
