The Colombian band Bambarabanda He celebrated his 15th anniversary on the Bio stage at Rock al Parque 2016 with a spectacular show full of light and color, accompanied, as always, with the melancholic and shamanic tone of its members and the rebellious nature of their lyrics. They got the audience singing, dancing, jumping, moshing, and entering a kind of trance that, accompanied by the colors of the sunset, He created a beautiful landscape.
The sounds of the south of the countryThey took on a different tone thanks to the bambarita. While remaining ancestral and native, this band has given it a psychedelic atmosphere, without neglecting the flavor and passion with which they appropriate music from other parts of the country and the world. It's very interesting to see how they combine different rhythms and give them their own unique touch. With strong, yet catchy choirs and voices, they are telling us stories, stories from this country without memory, From desolate and displaced villages, from the dead and disappeared, from indigenous communities, who deserve to be heard. They have learned to translate these teachings into lyrics and musical notes which, along with their costumes and theatricality, ensure the message reaches everyone., that is understandable and sensitive to all ears. And something much more important: They have transcended the meaning of music today., They have given it a value beyond the simple and banal.
The exploration not only in the musical aspects but also in the staging and the pedagogical processes they develop, This makes this group an important entity in the Colombian cultural and artistic scene.
