Bogotá celebrates the day of the little candles.

More than 1,000 artists from different parts of Bogotá will join the Parade of Carnival Groups along Carrera Séptima this Sunday, December 7, starting at 3:30 pm.

The tour will begin at the Plaza Cultural La Santamaría and will culminate in the Plaza de Bolívar, where the Children's Philharmonic Choir of the Bogotá Philharmonic will perform along with the group La Real Charanga.

This parade is part of the 670 activities of Christmas is Culture, the special program promoted by the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, through the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation and Sport, and which will take place throughout the city until December 23.

In addition to the parade, The Day of the Little Candles will feature activities in El Tunal Metropolitan Park, Los Hippies Park and in Ciudad Bolívar.

Culture, community and creativity.

On this day, Bogotá will collectively experience the magic of the season with ten troupes and messages that invite us to imagine the city we dream of, to project the future we deserve and to express it through art, creativity and unity.

The tour will begin at 3:30 pm in the Plaza Cultural La Santamaría and will arrive around 6:00 pm at the Plaza de Bolívar, where the official Christmas lighting ceremony and the aforementioned artistic presentations will take place.

Groups and collectives from [locations/regions] will participate Barrios Unidos, Bosa, Chapinero, Ciudad Bolívar, Engativá, Kennedy, La Candelaria, Teusaquillo and Puente Aranda, with proposals that integrate color, cultural diversity and tradition.

What activities will be available on Transmilenio?

The celebration will also reach TransMilenio, as part of the agreement. Good things happen on TransMi, The public transport system becomes a stage for meeting and artistic expression.

This December 7th, starting at 2:00 pm, at TransMiCable (Mirador del Paraíso station, Ciudad Bolívar), there will be parades, artistic groups and cultural activities open to the community.
