By José Gandue @Gandour

This is an artist we particularly appreciate. His album, Equilateral, was included among our favorite albums of 2017 and Every time we see him live, we celebrate his mannerisms, his expressions, and the genuine emotion with which he displays his art., Whether it's performing with a solo DJ or a top-notch band exquisitely interpreting your songs. Chat with Tsh Sudaca Every time we cross paths in Bogotá at night, it's a chance to have a good laugh and share some urban wisdom from someone who surprises with their calmness and the clarity of their thinking. Within the framework of Beautiful Noise Festival, Taking advantage of the event to be held these days in the Colombian capital, we contacted him and talked about love, new sounds and other substances:

What a hectic year for Tsh Sudaca, huh?
Yes, it has been a year of many contrasts, experiences, places and people... A great year.

How has your work been received within the Colombian Hip Hop community? Is everything good, or is there jealousy from the more radical members?
For my part, there's something I've come to value greatly over the years, and that's the respect of people I admire and many mutual colleagues. I feel that beyond the overwhelming love for one artist or another, respect is the fundamental principle, and having worked my way up from the ground up, with all the challenges that entails, means that those out there, or even those on the same bill, express their respect and acceptance in every space where I have the opportunity to be.

You've been fortunate enough to be able to share your music in diverse environments and spaces. What do you think it is about your songs that has resonated with different audiences, even those less familiar with Hip Hop?
Honestly, I feel that people perceive what's being said and told in a live show, both through the audio and through perception. People can discern when something transcends being a product and becomes a genuine version of events. I feel that's where we find common ground, where we can move beyond the "rap" label and truly experience the music.

If someone didn't know your music, how would you describe it?
He avoided doing so; I feel that the music should speak for itself, but if it were a matter of putting words to it, I would say that it is the story of a South American in South America today.

And how does South America feel today?
Turbulent, active, musical, furious, hurt, awakening, defiant, subversive, young, fighting…. That's how beautiful she is.

A question that may sound corny, but which I'm sure you can give a good meaning to in your answer: how can we describe love in these turbulent times?
I don't know if it is or not, I can only say what I experience today as a father and partner, and that is that love without a lot of patience, work, acceptance, sweat, tears and passion is nothing... It is inevitable.

What is the immediate challenge for Tsh Sudaca?
Breathe more.

And what about the artistic side?
We have a new album coming up, that's a big challenge.

Can you share any details about its production, collaborators, and possible release dates?
It will be a project with very special and definitive guests for the music being made here today, and the sound will have a lot of this place in the background.
