And yes, one day we had to return to interviews with people who were alive, active, and present on the continent. And taking advantage of his upcoming concert in Bogotá, we took the opportunity to interview Gaspar Benegas. For those who do not know their personal details, Benegas is a prominent Argentine rock guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer. From its beginnings, it has been part of The Air Conditioning Fundamentalists, the band that accompanies to Indio Solari, one of the most influential Spanish-speaking artists, known for having performed some of the most massive concerts in the history of Spanish rock. Among his most memorable performances are those at the Estadio Único de La Plata in 2021, the Huracán in 2022 and two concerts at the Velodrome in Montevideo in 2022 and 2023.

Furthermore, Gaspar leads his own power trio, La Mono, a band that has established itself as one of the most promising acts on the music scene and who has traveled much of Argentina in a classic-style motorhome. For 10 years, he was also part of Filippi's Hands, a group recognized for its strong combative stance in Latin America.

From a young age, Gaspar embarked on a career in music and never looked back. He was born and raised in El Bolsón, a mystical Patagonian region that was home to the hippie community in the 1970s, where her mother, María José Cantilo, one of the pioneers of Argentine rock, lived her experience. His uncle, Miguel Cantilo, was part of the famous protest duo Pedro y Pablo.

Gaspar enjoyed a childhood away from the urban bustle and, at the age of 12, inspired by Jimi Hendrix and BB King, decided that his passion would be the guitar. From a very young age, he attended blues jams, where he had the opportunity to share the stage with Pappo.

Over time, he has not only recorded iconic albums and participated in the largest concerts in Argentine rock, but also He has also worked as an artistic producer for artists such as René from Calle 13, Salta La Banca, María José Cantilo, Brenda Asnicar, Valentina Cook and Las Manos de Filippi. Gaspar has his own recording studio, where he dedicates long hours to various projects, and has toured the country offering guitar clinics.
