City of La Plata, city of musical miracles. I repeat that every time I hear a rock gem that comes from one of my favorite cities in this hemisphere. Latin America has much to thank this point of artistic creation for, located 56 kilometers from that wonderful monster that is Buenos Aires.
And this time I say it because finally Fede Kempff and his group City of Sauces releases his album We jumped into the abyss. I say this because few contemporary artists They know how to handle tenderness in a more touching way. And, in turn, empowering, in each of her songs. Recently We reviewed their EP Travelers, A small work of art that foreshadowed what is now a reality. What we suspected came true: We jumped into the abyss It's a compilation of 9 songs that delight with their intelligent candor, because of its intense emotional impact and because it suggests that even today's pop rock, without the need for artificial sonic aggression, can contain the most intense rebellion of these days.
This is an album with an exciting sonic structure, where small details of the keyboards, the right weight of the bass, the wise intervention of the guitars, and Kempff's infectious voice all come together. They achieve an exciting balance of beauty.
