Monterrey, as we have said on other occasions, It has been and is an important musical creative hub on the continent. If we take stock of the groups and artists that have emerged from this city in northeastern Mexico, we'll realize that much of the rise of the country's pop-rock and hip-hop scene over the last twenty-five years originated there. An important chapter in this phenomenon. We can understand this by learning about the work done by the independent collective Happy fi, embryo of groups such as Quiero Club, Yokovibe, Arizona, Niña, and D3ndron, among others.

D3ndron It's a project by Chajoe, lead singer of Niña, along with a band formed by Enrique Camacho (Resorte, Un País Cayendo a Pedazos), Chinix (visual artist), and Eugenio Royale (Pato Machete, Quiero Club). It began in 2009 when it was first presented. We Come in Piece, D3ndron He had been absent from the recording studios. This year they have promised to release an eleven-song album and as a preview they present Scorpion, an exquisite example of pop dense instrumental construction and welcoming melody.

In Scorpion There is a need for tenderness amidst the chaos, It is love that is sustained by hopeful doubts in the face of constant danger, a love built on thin air in search of an imaginary solidity:

«"I promise you everything will be alright."
Even if it's not true
"The darkness will fade away with time."»

Scorpion It captivates without the need for grand pyrotechnics, but rather through specific sound details. that give color to the base made. He knows how to create mystery in his entrance with a string performance similar to that of a sitar, and then opens the doors to an atmosphere that seems taken from eighties new wave moments.  Chajoe's voice is the last piece of the net that hooks us, because it is a sweet poison that conveys a credible and necessary message. Scorpion is a great song that can be played repeatedly on any honest, good pop-rock radio station on the planet.

Seven years without publishing anything, but D3ndron returns showing signs that what's coming will undoubtedly excite us. Once again, Happy Fi has done it with all the good taste that characterizes them.
