StereotypeI will jump

Hailing from Santiago, Chile, this quartet, which sounds like a pleasant mix of dream pop and post-punk,  It presents a compilation of four tracks, with a relaxed atmosphere, featuring experimental and delicate instrumentation, complemented by a particularly high-pitched and often reverberated voice. It's good material that allows us to discover a striking project that could extend its popularity to wider circles and an audience attentive to indie innovations. The third track of this EP, Astronaut, a sonic ballad of sharp and intense guitars, It's the best thing about the album:

More and more
Here I go
without looking back

Shall I wait
that one day
I will reach you
I'll get there
next to the sun

The Debt Collector Musical debts

Have you noticed the popularity of YouTube channels dedicated to broadcasting, in a 24-hour format, instrumental material related to hip hop? Yes, those radios with a colorful animated logo showing a young student focused on her studies while her cat rests in her lap. The truth is, it's much better to listen to those kinds of radio stations than any of those stations dedicated to playing music for dental offices or shopping mall elevators. The Debt Collector, a character from Bayamón, Puerto Rico, could..., surely fill the programming of those spaces with their splendid production and help, with quality recordings and fine and courageous craftsmanship, so that the listener can relax with good music, without fearing the dentist's sadistic instruments. All joking aside, listening to this eleven-track album confirms the high quality of this project, whose catalog is worth exploring during any downtime.

Richie ArnedoTurbanis, World Heartbeat

This musician, who is part of a renowned family in the Colombian sound arts, if he has arguments to lecture on the origin of cumbia and its reinterpretations in the 21st century. Arnedo, a native of Turbaco, in the department of Bolívar, a nerve center of Caribbean musical expression, has released a pair of songs that should attract the attention of international DJs seeking innovative and tasteful dance tracks. The production of these two songs doesn't shy away from risk, adding elements that set them apart from many of today's electro-pop offerings, which simply focus on delivering a rhythm that encourages easy hip movements. The guitars are particularly noteworthy, and the samples were exquisitely chosen. Here is a worthwhile effort to go further and try to leave a better impression on the fans of the disco scene. Safety pin.

Sys MalakianShort waters

We close today's review chapter with a simple one. From Mexico City, at two thousand two hundred and forty meters above sea level, An interesting wave of guitar notes rises, ready to be surfed by fans of good instrumental rock and roll. Malakian, accompanied by the local band The Stuck Ones, It features a gallant two-minute and forty-five-second recording, splendidly mixed, and of a quality comparable to that of any band in the genre worldwide. The result is fun and exquisite. We eagerly await the full album, to be released by Otitis Media Records.
