Cow – In the Quantum World of the Exosphere
If you're looking for something whose initial sound confuses you and makes you wonder where all that sacred noise is coming from, and then, as it plays on, you discover its charm and it seduces you more with each passing second, this might be the album for you today. This new release comes to us from the small city of Pergamino in Buenos Aires province., Built with an experimental and adventurous spirit, where there's a little bit of everything. Here we find funk, rock, house, dubstep, hints of hip hop, and a captivating jazzy feel. What you hear is far from conventional; rather, it compels the listener to embark on a resonant journey that avoids the obvious, constructed with a daring spirit. In short: this is surprising exquisiteness in the air, which should be listened to repeatedly from beginning to end.
Equatorials – Tropicana – live
The truth is, we're delighted to hear from this Honduran band again, as they haven't released any new music in quite some time. We're pleased to know they continue to develop their own style within alternative pop-rock, with which They achieve pleasant melodies wrapped in uncomplicated instrumental developments that easily reach the ear of any listener. This time they've released four beautifully crafted tracks which, we hope, will help them develop a more active presence on social media in the coming months. Good work.
Travelers All Stars – Reggae Gordo
From Mexico City comes the last audio recording of the day. This local band is releasing a two-song EP that has undoubtedly caught our attention. Here we find a fun, festive vibe that, despite the title, we associate not only with reggae, but also with hints of jungle psychedelia and chicha cumbia. It all sounds like what might result in the blender when we mix, in the most populated city in the world, Jamaican rebellious essence and aromas of the Peruvian Amazon. Two tracks are far too little to satisfy our curiosity about this group, but, being optimistic, we hope that these guys will soon continue to show us more of their party art.
