Tomy Suil – My Unforgiveness
This Chilean artist, based in Germany, has released a single that effectively blends electronic soundscapes with traditional Andean instruments, primarily the charango. He has released the song in two versions, one in German and one in Spanish, where the variations inherent in each language lend it a distinct identity. While the foundation remains the same, some differences emerge, surprising the audience. My Unforgiveness, that is, "my innocence", presents ironic texts about who is to blame for the political crisis, whether the president and his entourage, or you, an ordinary citizen. The title of the work is more than appropriate, and the musical result is interesting.

Through an intricate construction of samplers, drum machines, and an atmosphere that seems inspired by the feeling that almost all humans have on a Sunday afternoon, It presents an album of tracks shorter than two and a half minutes each, fueled by a refreshing nostalgic breath. This work, produced by this Costa Rican producer, feels very inspired by the work of artists like Tricky, Massive Attack, or Portishead, but with a more intimate, lo-fi personal touch, without great anthems in its content, but wrapped in an atmosphere that calmly and excitingly takes us on an experimental journey worth listening to from beginning to end.
Lighting Group – Cult of Cumbia: Amazon Episode
From Arequipa, Peru, comes a playful sample of the region's new psychedelic folk sound. In five tracks and under fifteen minutes, the revelry ignites immediately with a distinctive festive spirit that respects the origins of this jungle musical style while simultaneously renewing its sonic intentions, adapting them for a contemporary audience. The work is almost entirely instrumental, only containing vocals when the band members remind us every so often of the group's name and the call to dance to the resounding cumbia. In short, it is perfectly suitable material to elevate the level of home celebrations and get grandmother and granddaughter dancing to the same tune, without any arguments in the living room.
