We will always be grateful for sonic pampering, with good music that knows how to find speed and abandon amidst delicacy. Amidst the unease of these times, what this band from Bernal, Buenos Aires, does is met with affection. This quintet goes by the long but beautiful name of Just before the war with the Eskimos And he has just released his first full-length album, an 8-song album that barely exceeds half an hour in length but in each of its tracks overwhelms us with an intense charge of love and affection that does not cloy but, rather, on the contrary, is celebrated throughout its listening.

We can describe the Just Before as as a group close to alternative pop rock, With intense guitar work, a delicately firm voice, and, at times, a curious handling of tempos and rhythms, with moments of surprising acceleration and wise pauses that are both moving and appreciated, the compositions are well-rounded. They present songs with a simple structure, that seem to be governed by the logic and nostalgia of the evening hours and whose result manages to last in memory. This is an album made without great pretensions, as if it were made for a circle of friends, but which, we hope, can transcend, especially because of songs like Rest easy, breaking a bone in two y Weird and nerdy.

This quintet is gradually attracting the attention of the Argentine audience and specialized press, and with good reason. His new album is of high quality And, according to some of their fans, the intensity of their recordings is only surpassed by their live performances. We hope, then, to see them soon touring Latin America, to the delight of a potential fanbase eager for to learn new and complicated names of musical proposals.
