Some artists are lucky enough to find their place in the world at the right time. Others arrive at the precise moment to explore (and cultivate) their needs and talents in the perfect environment. and they know how to seize the opportunity to give their best, to your liking. Lucía Tacchetti It's a great example of that.

After having released his previous album in 2020, called ELETÉ, with which he accumulated notable recognition in various media outlets in Latin America, He decided to leave Buenos Aires and move his residence to Madrid, Spain., And that's where the exploration began, to find a more mature and at the same time more international sound. It was, we imagine, about finding a space that could connect her more easily with the elite of the global electronic music scene. and where he would have contact with an avant-garde scene that would encourage him to grow more quickly. In recent months, at the peak of her career, she participated in Lollapalooza Argentina 2022, collaborated with Holy Fuck, remixed Javiera Mena and was chosen by the North American producer Anderson .Paak among more than 20,000 projects as the winner of the competition Vans Musicians Wanted. And now, in 2023, he presents his new album. Flaps, an admirable and fun work that contains 9 straightforward, uncomplicated, yet finely crafted songs, ready to be heard across the entire planet.

Flaps, And this should be read as a compliment, not the other way around., It's easy to understand. It's simple, gets to the point, and is immediately appealing. There are no unnecessary textures, and the production is not at all overdone. Without calling it minimalist, this collection of tunes doesn't complicate things with exaggerated details; it brilliantly crafts the melodies, and the sounds that accompany the vocals fit exquisitely into the puzzle to form the complete picture. It's Pop without the grandiloquence that those who want to be celebrated as big stars usually resort to. Homemade pop that can reach any audience without looking down on intelligence or demanding expert credentials. Synthesizers and vocals, period.

The best moments of the album (this is just my personal opinion, nobody is obligated to believe me) are Lately, a recording made in collaboration with the Franco-Japanese artist Malka Loubté, a danceable gem perfect for a great sunrise and Dark, a nostalgic ballad created in collaboration with the Argentinian Wiranda Johansen, with which the album closes. Anyway, the whole of Flaps is thirty-three minutes long, so initially, enjoy the entire journey., a pleasant journey that showcases the progression of a creator without waste.
