Let's start this article by saying something direct, and eliminating any poetic surprises: Zeros & Ones, the new album by the Colombian band Volcán, It's an album worth listening to, and we have many reasons to say so. From the very first song, The science of dreams, we can now identify that We are faced with a group that cultivates fresh melodies and good instrumental construction. and the conscious intention of, without losing the natural essence of experimentation of this project, to create tunes that can be played on any stereo and captivate ears eager or not for this type of music,  because there is a well-achieved balance between rock intensity and pop appeal that enhances the entire context they present to us.

Zeros & Ones It is a material that is based on compositions that They combine excellent vocal work, enveloped in reverberations, and prominent guitars., without exclusively monopolizing attention, and rather focused on creating environments and textures that subject the listener to powerful jolts, without falling into unnecessary overexposure. If we resort to the simplistic labels used by music critics, we can say that this album by Volcán It has many elements of dream pop, elements of British rock from the nineties, and subtle hints of psychedelia and funk., which, contrary to what one might suspect, gives the songs, amidst the fervor, an intimate and reflective air. They themselves say so: «"It's an album made to be listened to in moments of gratitude and openness, especially on introspective days. It all depends on the mood, but ideally it should be listened to while experiencing the connection with oneself. This album is for receiving life and death because they are timeless.". 

This album, for songs like the one already mentioned  The science of dreams, Seeing your eyes looking at me, y 01001, It's a good way for this band to introduce themselves to the international market, where, at times, rock-related offerings are conspicuous by their absence or by their outdated formulas. From this point onward, Volcán, with its carefully crafted and appealing production for those looking to update their music collection, can..., Gradually, they seek to establish a consolidated space in Latin America.
