Twenty-first Century, times of experimentation and recovery of sounds from other decades. These are days when we can find new meaning in old fanfares and revisited intentions, when we respectfully honor what was done in past decades, finding new significance in contemporary times. Anything goes in the twenty-first century, especially if it's done well and imbued with a new identity, appropriate for the times we live in. Anything goes when it's done by artists of the caliber of the Peruvian José Gallo with his project. Theremyn 4.
Gallo just released his album Lost moments, a compilation of nine beautiful songs in which she is not afraid to use textures from the late eighties and early nineties to present a heartfelt, nostalgic and exciting atmosphere which envelops the listener throughout the forty-four minutes of the entire production. The artist knows how to create for the viewer a kind of roller coaster that takes them through valleys and mountains with various upheavals, managing to captivate them, make them dance, and deeply involve them in a kind of short film in which we can recognize the sounds presented and perhaps the intentions we have felt in past experiences, but where Gallo's personal touch makes all the difference and elevates the emotion, reaching sensitive peaks worthy of celebration.
We recommend to the listener Put on your headphones and listen to this album from beginning to end., Nonstop, disconnecting from the rest of the world and savoring every minute individually. If you then want to focus on each recording in particular, I recommend three specific moments: Burning streets of sound, the most intense track on the album and the first promotional single from the album; The Speed of Dark, an instrumental theme that sounds like it was taken from a science fiction film soundtrack made some thirty years ago, and Light waves, made in collaboration with Ana González, from the Colombian project Brina Quoya, an intense ballad with a soulful feel, only track with lyrics in Spanish.
In the end, Lost moments It's a pleasant album that He deserves to be heard anywhere on the planet without any prejudice.
