On July 23rd, the emblematic Bogota group 1280 Souls He released his seventh album Domestiko, album presented in vinyl format, in which the band on side 1, called Aktual Side, It presents 6 new songs and on side 2, called Old Side, includes new versions of some of the most representative songs within his musical career.

Current Side
Side 1 of the vinyl opens with the track Killer Inside, a song with a punk edge, fast guitars, and Fernando del Castillo's unmistakable style of performance; it continues with Cayeye, which contains the an already established blend of Pacific sound elements with guitar riffs characteristic within their productions; the third track entitled The Domestic Anarchist It offers us a fresh composition evoking something of the disco sound, obviously under the parameters of the band's proposal.

Continue with Sad youth, a theme that offers us the classic amalgamation of the group of simple riffs combined with great percussion and a strong bass line. Continue with Terror of Dawn, which is perhaps the recording destined to join the already long list of anthems of the group: Dense but sharp and powerful sound, with the band's usual critique of topics such as the vanity and superficiality of society.

This side of the album closes with the track The Madmen, a song with dense, distorted guitars and an exquisitely aggressive bass.

Old Side

Side 2 presents 6 classics from the group, created throughout their career. These are very well-produced new versions of their great anthems:   Monsters, included in his first production, Tell Me About Horror; The Deer Route, included on its fourth plate Changoman; Rebel Blood from their fifth album, which shares the same name. It ends with Surfing in Blood, DHZ e Fire and Looting included in her latest work, Vermin People. In general, these versions are not far removed from the original recordings., although the change in the vocalist's tone must be taken into account in Monsters comparing it with its original publication.

In short, this is a highly recommended album, where "Las Almas" once again offer their honest, unique, and unclassifiable proposal. HAPPINESS!
