Fran Straube, better known by the name of her project, Blond, is touring the entire continent. Justo has just finished an intense tour of the United States, and is preparing for concerts in Mexico, Argentina, his native Chile, Ecuador and Peru in the coming days., as part of a promotional tour for their latest studio album, Venus & Blue. While all this is happening, He has released a compilation of remixes of some of his most recent tracks on digital platforms, simply called Venus & Blue RMX.

Fran, who has been living in Mexico City for several months now, He has been, in a very clever way, "Latinizing" his music. Make no mistake: She has not fallen into commercial clichés nor made forced changes to satisfy cheap stigmas. Rubio still has his own sound, and he has been integrating it into everyday contemporary textures of this continent. However, their strength lies in expanding upon and reinterpreting current trends, appropriating them for the delight of their fans. This seven-track album follows that path., in the sense that those who make the remixes understood what was intended, and achieved the objective.

The producers in charge of the remixes are among the most select of the new Latin American electronic music scene. They come from Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Argentina. They are professionals constantly touring some of the most interesting clubs on the planet. Their work, it must be said, has been very respectful of the original work, but, at the same time, They have given it that extra value it needs to attract fans most interested in adaptations for the dance floor. However, they never took the easy way out, and, on the contrary, they knew how to use all the textures that each recording of Rubio offers from the beginning to the advantage of the final result. They struck a suitable and intense balance between their intentions and what the artist provided, who has always stood out among avant-garde circles.

When it comes to selecting my favorite moment from this album cover, I must say that I strongly liked what the Ecuadorian artist did. Chexosis and the song What you don't talk about. I love the performance. drum&bass of the initial production. In addition, a pleasantly dark atmosphere is created, which gives a feeling of an unexpected journey, with sound routes that create elegant twists from the original piano. In my opinion, without diminishing the other tracks, this is the pinnacle of the album.

Anyway. While Fran Straube releases new Rubio material, This is a great snack for entertainment, to calm cravings and to celebrate by dancing.
