Alan Sutton and the little creatures of anxietySimpler

To begin, a question: How can we politely express our doubts about the character who's about to appear? Alan Sutton, the Argentinian musician behind this musical project, is a freak. Or at least that's how he comes across in the clips we've seen of his songs. His facial expressions are incredibly striking, and we have no doubt that more than one person has suspected that, judging by his on-screen persona, he has more than a few skeletons in his closet. But, seriously now, This artist's work has its delightful side, its chillingly pop moment, where what seems like joy is existential doubt and what seems like depression is actually a desire to laugh your head off. And yes, this video is actually about romantic relationships, which is to say, about emotional roller coasters that are impossible to control. It's a good piece of work because both the song and what we see on screen constantly plant the seeds of doubt about whether being with someone is enough to keep going. Ultimately, everyone will have their own answer.

Saint Pascualito King Ft. Luis Humberto NavejasLife scares me

The statistics on violence against women in our continent are alarming. It's impossible to simply ignore them and pretend nothing is happening. Fear permeates the streets, paranoia is palpable, and the weakness of a society that doesn't react enough to acknowledge, protest, and denounce what is happening in so many Latin American homes is evident. Against this backdrop, we find this powerful audiovisual piece by one of Mexico's best bands, which more than delivers its warning message through an incisive song and, visually, brilliant cinematography that skillfully combines color and black and white at just the right moments.

Julieta RafaelaBlue Butterfly

To wrap up today's reviews, we're toning down what we've seen so far and closing with a simple, tender, and charming video. We're transported to the rural setting of Aculeo Lagoon, in the Chilean commune of Paine, and treated to a gentle tune, surely crafted to soothe our inner beasts, sung by a beautiful artist whose voice conveys peace, sensuality, and tranquility. Well, we know the description we've included here borders on cheesy, but in this case, We recognize that what Julieta Rafaela has done exudes a necessary peace of mind, and, without complicating things, we must affirm that the song is happily stuck in our memory. What we see on screen is a simple, well-executed story, with interesting use of blur and accurate color. Overall, a work worthy of praise.
