The tech world hasn't stopped moving, regardless of rain, thunder, hurricanes, or pandemics, and of course, our hemisphere is no exception. The app will be launched in just a few days. Louderband, Louderband, initially created in Argentina and soon to be available to the continental market, has been a leading company since its inception., It has focused on connecting artists with other players in the music scene and, in turn, seeks to amplify that environment with the greatest possible access to information. As a curious fact, this venture was named by the Inter-American Development Bank as «"One of the 50 innovations you didn't know were from Latin America"». To find out more, we have contacted Neyva de Ita, Marketing Director, who answered all our questions about her company from Mexico:
What is Louderband?
Louderband is a platform that allows anyone in the music industry to generate income by sharing their experience and knowledge. It's an app that connects professional services for and within the Latin American music industry, providing a tool to monetize your expertise and find the services you need to develop your album, concert, or music video. We offer two services: Soundmarket, a marketplace of music industry services, where you can find everything from a designer to create your album cover to the best recording studio in your area. And, on the other hand Lessons, the specialized space for learning and training around music: courses, masterclasses, Clinics, workshops, and more... all online. All in one app.
With the application now open to all of Latin America, do you expect interaction between countries or do you think potential users will turn to services located in their own area?
Both options are available. You can find services and courses based on your geolocation, or you can search by country. For example, if you live in Colombia and want to record your album in Mexico, you can refine your search using various filters, including country.
But that interaction is barely happening right now, do you think Louderband will help it develop?
The obvious issue of the pandemic makes physical interaction and close contact impossible, which is why we are betting on the movement being generated much more in «Lessons» than in «Sound market«"However, there are music services that can be done remotely, without the need for face-to-face interaction, such as: album cover design, mixing, mastering…
How would you describe the current state of the music market in Latin America?
From the outset, I believe that Latin music is redefining the global music market, as we are producing music that resonates at Grammys, Super Bowls, and other events, positioning Latin America like never before. Latin American artists have become influential creative figures in the global market, and although music was one of the industries hardest hit by Covid-19, I see a very promising outlook. Being naturally creative, we haven't stopped developing tools, methodologies, and devising solutions to help us overcome this difficult period.
What are Louderband's short and long-term goals?
In the short, medium, and long term, we aspire to be the leading platform that connects work, contacts, experience, and knowledge around music.
