Mountain: a natural elevation of land. Uncultivated land covered with trees or bushes. These are the first two definitions given by the Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy. Coincidentally, this is what comes to mind for anyone listening to the first track, called The Light, of The Other World, work of this band of Costa Rican boys. Organic sounds, ethereal harmony, that make you want to plant your feet back on Mother Earth, but that, at the same time, uplift the soul, like a kind of shamanic ritual which seeks to introduce the viewer to the secrets of the influences that converge in what is to come in the next songs.
And I find myself, precisely, with an innumerable amalgamation of sonic trends in the other songs of this production which, although not comfortable the first time you come into contact with it, It turns out to be an exquisite piece of music due to its finesse and simplicity.
In The Descent of the Flyers You can perceive a simple melody with a somewhat punk-pop, somewhat indie instrumentation, which ends up having aA youthful, fresh and slightly nostalgic touch.
Go on Caves (Version 1), The song that caught my attention the most from the album, due to a marked Beatlesque influence, which is noticeable, above all, in the way the drums are played, swithout many ambitions or rhythmic bombast, But it fits perfectly with the harmonic simplicity of this anthem to despair. 5 out of 5 stars for this song. It completely captivated me.
Hello It turns out to be a rather unique track. A child's voice, equalized in such a way that it sounds a little creepy, accompanied by synthesized sounds, in a somewhat monotonous composition, but one that is not boring, as one might think.
Finally, Queen Forever PatrolAnd, to close this fine work: a ballad that doesn't have many pretensions, other than to flow, leading the listener to a relaxed and natural closing.
I could say I enjoyed listening to this great product, but I'd be lying. "Enjoy" is an understatement when describing the sheer volume of emotions that came together and enveloped me as all these sounds emanated from my headphones. Definitely an experience worth having and a very good band that's worth following.
