If they ever write the history of Chilean rock with the justice it deserves, In its pages there must be a notable mention of the brothers Alejandro and Álvaro Gómez, owners of the record label Algo Records. It is not without reason to mention them in this way, since they have been protagonists in the true internationalization of rock in their country and have taken bands like [band names missing] out of their garages and into the ears of the alternative public. The Ganjas, Ramires!, Tsunamis, and, in the nearer future, to Matías Cena, Magaly Fields, Hysterics and others.
But the Gómez brothers are not only known for being intense entrepreneurs in the music world but especially for being great musicians, and even more so through his personal project, Perrosky. As a couple, the Gómez family has toured much of the world with their unique rock and roll sound., full of bluesy nuances and moments of folk inspiration. They, staunch defenders of analog sound in much of their production, have made their album available for free download for a few days as a Christmas gift. I long for, a compilation of 22 songs recorded between 2000 and 2005 on a 4-channel portastudio, a series of recordings where, without losing the essence of the compositions, the ambient noise and the rawness of the moment are felt. As they say, «It's just like composing a song and recording it so you don't forget it.«"The record is exciting and fascinatingly honest.". Definitely a gift that is appreciated at this time of year.
