Sound Geography is a section of Zonagirante.com that we created, among other reasons, to demystify and learn about what's happening in different parts of our continent in the world of music. And today we'll definitely delve deeper into this subject, because, we must admit, We have our backs turned to the great Latin American giant, the largest sound market on this side of the world, about which we know almost nothing, thanks to the classic glories of bossa nova and samba, and one or two metal bands. It's curious how we view as so distant a country that borders seven Spanish-speaking countries and that, being right next to us, with a population of two hundred and ten million inhabitants and a vast culture rich in nuances, We do not take them into account when looking for new artistic trends.

We turned to our great friend Carlo Bruno Montalvao, owner of the music agency Brain Productions, so that he could shed some light on the matter. He, given the urgency we were under, He put together an incredible list of 25 songs for us, where rock in its many variations is included (in fact, the playlist starts off powerfully, almost overwhelmingly) and then, over the course of an hour and a half, we hear pop textures, some folk, and hints of hip hop. There are names here that we've featured on our site, such as Papisa, Atalhos, Terraplana and YMA, But there are also surprising proposals such as Manchester Fluminense, Bike, Sonhos Tomam Corta and Ema Stoned. In short, thanks to Montalvao, we can enjoy an interesting glimpse into what happens in the great invisible neighbor we have next door., with whom we wish to have a more fluid exchange, for the sake of our ears and our emotional intelligence.

Brazilian friends, we want to know more about your voices and your music. Always bem-vindo here. A question: do you want what we do at Zonagirante.com in Portuguese?
