Thursday, March 23, first day of the Bogota Estéreo Picnic festival. There are artists from Colombia, Puerto Rico, France, the United States, and Great Britain. The event kicks off with a curious but appealing mix of punk, electro-pop, blues, and alternative rock. We'll have local talent from Six pedestrians, Popstitute, Nanook the Last Eskimo y Sagan. From San Juan, Puerto Rico, passing through Mexico City, his current city of residence, we will have one of the most interesting Latin American artists of the moment: AJ Dávila. The rest of the lineup comes from North America and Europe, with notable appearances by The Weeknd, Cage the Elephant, Justice, and The XX.
The first day of this festival is designed to make it worthwhile to cross the city during rush hour, perhaps endure the March rain, and possibly put up with the event's high food and drink prices. In the end, none of that matters. It's time to celebrate good music and Estéreo Picnic doesn't disappoint. To everyone visiting Parque de la 222 today, we wish you the best of experiences. Friends, see you around!.
