In memory of Kobe Bryant
As we write this, Sunday night's events are only bringing back literary memories. We recall texts like those of the Romanian philosopher Emile Cioran, saying, not exactly in an optimistic way, «"The sole function of love is to help us endure those cruel and immeasurable Sunday evenings that wound us for the rest of the week and for eternity. Without the seduction of ancestral spasm, we would need a thousand eyes for hidden tears, or, failing that, nails to bite, kilometer-long nails..."». The final day of the week has so much nostalgic content that sometimes the only relief to endure those twenty-four hours is sleeping, turning on the TV to combat boredom (sometimes to add more unease to the day) and, in the best of cases, listening to good new music. It doesn't matter that our releases are presented on Monday: they maintain their novelty for the following seven days. For the third time in 2020, we bring you brand-new material from Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Costa Rica, and Mexico, featuring Pop, Folk, Reggae, Electronic, Fusion, and Rock sounds. Among others, we've added the new single from Tessa Ia, the latest production of Mabiland, the new publication of Ruben Rada and the most recent recording of The Chameleon Machine.
We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist for January 27, 2020.
If any of our followers would like to showcase their illustration work and collaborate with Zonagirante.com, please contact us and send your portfolio to zonagirante@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance.
