These days, while working on additional projects for the office, several staff members have decided to swap research time for some guilty pleasure., watching the Winter Olympics, which are being held in Beijing. Let's make something clear at this point in the conversation: Our headquarters are in a traditionally cold city, but in its entire history, not a single snowflake or anything like that has fallen. Lots of hail, yes, but never snow. The only one who has had experience with any sport in freezing climates has been the boss, who once went skiing during his student days in Madrid, believing that everything was going to be easy. After half an hour he realized that he and the mountain were never going to get along.
We tell you all this because these nights we have been surprised to see the most exotic sporting disciplines, shouting with excitement in the early hours of the morning. We have celebrated the high speeds of the skating races, we have felt pain in our bones at the falls of the unsuccessful participants in the Nordic combination, and we have been made dizzy by all the turns that the artistic exponents do. But, most importantly, we have tried to form our own team of curling. We've come to understand that it's a sport worthy of office workers and bureaucrats. and we identify with all the rules and norms that are part of this practice. The required attire isn't much different from what's required in corporations for casual Fridays or out-of-town weekend conventions. We haven't seen a single representative of this sport worthy of being featured on a poster aimed at teenagers, nor do we think their exercise regimen is particularly demanding. The problem, so far, The problem is that we haven't found a place to carry out our business venture. The only ice rink we've found nearby looks more like a frozen pool where a maximum of ten people can skate, and where, judging by the decor in the promotional photos, we assume ranchera music plays all night. We need a place with a permanently frozen area that measures at least 46 meters long by 7 meters wide. If anyone knows of anything and would like to sponsor us, the Zonagirante.com curling team will be eternally grateful, promising that before the world ends, We will be representing our community in an international tournament.
