This week things at the Zonagirante.com office were normal. Too normal. But at the last meeting, no one had anything extraordinary to share with you in this sort of editorial that summarizes our recent days. When there was silence and a bit of uncertainty about how we would narrate the moment, Someone from the archive staff recommended paying tribute to great artists by publishing their well-known quotes about music. The accountant immediately warned us that we had already done that before, but given the lack of alternatives, and with only a few hours left before the publication of this article, there was no other option but to recycle that idea and bring in new famous quotes on the subject:

Aaron Copland (1900-1990) «"The whole problem can be expressed simply by asking: Does music have meaning? My answer would be 'Yes.' And can you express in a few words what that meaning is? My answer to that would be 'No.'".

Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) «"Music is the most direct art; it enters through the ear and goes to the heart... It is the universal language of humanity.".

Claude Debussy (1862-1918) «"Music is the arithmetic of sounds, just as optics is the geometry of light. Works of art make the rules; rules do not make works of art.".

Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) «"I often use the same harmonies as pop music because the complexity of what I do lies elsewhere. Music needs a room to breathe.".

Franz Liszt (1811-1886) «"Music is the heart of life. Through it, love speaks; without it, no good is possible, and with it, everything is beautiful.".

Franz Schubert (1797-1828) «"When you are inspired by something good, the music flows naturally, the melodies spring forth; this is truly a great satisfaction.".

Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849) «"There is nothing more hateful than music without a hidden meaning.".

Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) «"There is no such thing as Italian, German, or Turkish music. There is only music.".

And finally, Kurt D. Cobain (1967-1994) «"Music is synonymous with freedom, with playing what you want and how you want, as long as it's good and has passion, so that music is the food of love.".

For the tenth time in 2021, We continue to find in music the best excuses to keep going, And that's why we're launching a new playlist with twenty brand-new songs made in Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Peru, Honduras, Venezuela, Chile and Mexico,  whose sound is related to labels such as  Pop, Fusion, Folk, Hip Hop, Folklore, Electronic, Jazz and Rock. Among others, we've added the new single from Mad Tree,  the latest production of Ibeyi, the new publication of  Real Madrid meme and the most recent recording of Underworld.
