It is not admirable to look down on a newcomer who has knocked on our door asking for help because his home is burning and falling apart. Those who stand with their long sticks ready to punish anyone who dares to set foot on their lands asking for help, anyone who wants to find asylum in quieter regions, are not worthy of appreciation. We denounce as despicable, callous beasts those who demand the expulsion of those labeled as illegal, arguing with contemptible motives that the dignity of their countries would be lost with the invasion of strangers from other cultures, other creeds, other races. We raise our voices against those who present themselves as protectors of their people, advocating the contempt of their neighbors. We fight against those who reach positions of power talking about protecting minorities and then shamelessly betray their own babbling, smearing them with vocal excrement and power-hungry legal barbarism. We were, are, and will be children, grandchildren, parents, and grandparents of immigrants. Perhaps one day we will be forced to cross geographical lines we cannot even imagine today, and for that reason, we will never be allowed to believe we are a step above the rest.
For the eleventh time in 2021, We transcend borders with music, And that's why we built a new playlist with twenty brand-new tunes made in Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, Chile and Mexico, whose sound is related to labels such as Pop, Fusion, Folk, Hip Hop, Folklore, Electronic, Jazz and Rock. Among others, we've added the new single from Javiera Mena, the latest production of Juana la Loca, the new publication of Cienfue and the most recent recording of La Vida Boheme.
We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist for March 19, 2021.
