This week at the Zonagirante.com office we've been listening to the new album by the Argentinian artist Feli Colina, called The Enchanted Valley. In a few hours, too., We will be publishing our latest podcast which includes an extensive interview with her. We've been blown away by their great music, their talent, their honesty, their energy, and, most notably, their lyrics. To introduce the text that accompanies this week's playlist, We have decided to copy and paste the verses included in one of his best songs, Chakatrunka:

«"My veins are stained from walking along the furrow."
Incomplete learning, I am not what you wanted
I put all my strength into it and only find melodies
I want to find the word, to be your lost phrase
I'm just a perfume, and I'm polluting your land.
Just for giving your cinnamon flower a purpose

Hope catches fire, it's laughing its ass off.
Hoping the breeze continues to bring surprises
To find a song that awakens your own song
To find no song and find only ashes
I just hope the breeze
I just hope the breeze

Bring me new perspectives and receive insight
Silently defining the brilliance of your plug
Stop secretly thinking that your laugh is like no other

Finding myself in the secret that undresses in my moon and in the ways, intentions and backgrounds
Where does it come from? How does it come from? Why does it come from?
I receive and read between the lines
Is silence compassion or cowardice?

I felt like screaming
to the four winds
that I felt injustice
because they treated me
like an inflatable doll.
Then I found out
that I really am beautiful,

I'm bursting with pride
and that I need my holes filled,
not only with fists, but also with breath.
There's nothing wrong with me.
except having trusted
in people who know how to manipulate
the words
and not my plasticity,
which refers to the capacity
to deform me without breaking me.

I knew
to shape degrading situations
To me, it's difficult to recycle because it's not biodegradable.,
pleasant
Body and soul,
smile
as if my joy were imperishable,
depend
of my gentle malleability,
receive
comments and actions
that threatened my impermeability,
corrosion resistance,
so many uses and applications for me
little body and soul
and the best thing they could think of
for this inflatable doll
It was using me as a toy

"It was using me as a toy."»
