Our director has begun to lapse into delusion. He's been holed up in our company headquarters for thirteen months now, and it's becoming clear that he's having moments of emotional instability. For many weeks now, his hair has been shoulder-length, and he constantly complains about how certain strands of hair are covering his eyes. In the middle of the pandemic he decided to cut his hair himself, and he looked like an escapee from a seedy mental asylum. He misses his hairdresser so much that he writes her love letters every week. One day he promised her that, once he was vaccinated, he would take her to see the film version of Hair, the one directed by Milos Forman in 1979. When he's not writing and swearing, He can be seen searching digital platforms for material unknown to him, Handel cantatas, Indonesian indie rock lists, Unreleased recordings of the blind bluesmen from Alabama or soundtracks from Nigerian films that will never be released here. Even so, we still see him regain happiness at times, especially when he dedicates himself to selecting the tunes that will be included each week in our new releases playlists.
