May always begins with a strong political charge in the streets and then becomes a source of inspiration for poets. In May, Mother's Day is celebrated in much of the hemisphere, and football manages to make its presence felt with some of its most important finals. May is a good month, it must be said, for the beginning of romances and for giving flowers, even if the attempt to win over the beloved fails. And to lessen the sorrows, there's the new music of the fifth month in Latin America, whose power we can never doubt. This week continues the deluge of new recordings from our continent, showcasing, as always, twenty songs recently uploaded to digital platforms. These productions, from Colombia, Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Mexico, feature a range of genres including Pop, Reggae, Blues, Fusion, Electronic, Punk, Folk, and Rock. Among others, we add the new single from The Seven Dolphins, the latest production of Milton James, the new publication of Bad Bengal and the most recent recording of They talk behind your back.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from May 6, 2019.
