May is a confusing month. In the north, veins throb and throb against the skin. Hormones are racing, and playful smiles are more visible on the street, searching for someone to charm. In the south, there's the supposed passivity of autumn; it's about watching the old leaves fall, and a little extra warmth is always welcome. Some say autumn is a time for reaping the harvest and enjoying wines that promote better sleep. Regardless, anywhere on the continent, it's a time to savor the new sounds that emerge all around us. This week continues the cascade of Latin American music releases, and as always, we're showcasing around twenty songs recently added to digital platforms. These recordings, made in Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, feature pop, blues, fusion, electronic, hip hop, folk, and rock sounds. Among others, we add the new single from V for volume, the latest production of Black Rooster Sound, the new publication of Little tree and the most recent recording of Vicente García.

We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from May 20, 2019.
