June, the sixth month of the year. These days, everyone's thinking about football and politics. The Copa América is just around the corner, and many fans are eager to know how their national team is doing, as many have new coaches and there's been a complete overhaul of their player rosters. Politically, the scene is turbulent, with numerous street protests and growing disillusionment with mainstream media. Elections are on the horizon in some countries, and the winds of change are in the air. But even so, the unrest persists, and polarization is palpable. Regardless of what's happening in the streets and stadiums, the music scene continues to surprise us across the continent.  This week continues the deluge of Latin American releases, and as always, we're showcasing twenty songs recently added to digital platforms. These recordings, made in Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Mexico, feature pop, blues, fusion, electronic, folk, and rock sounds. Among others, we add the new single from Sylvester and the Orange, the latest production of Famasloop, the new publication of Peach and the most recent recording of Nico Rojo.

We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from June 3, 2019.
