The tension is palpable in the air and in the songs. The music is reflecting the disagreements created and exacerbated by current circumstances: confinement, abuse, loneliness, disappointments, racism, xenophobia, the excessive privileges enjoyed by a few over the majority, the ineptitude of those in power towards the rest of society. The music is made by those who live through these crises. Musicians don't shy away from reality; on the contrary. Some get straight to the point and denounce what they see. Others strive to generate more hopeful winds, perhaps believing that everything can be reformed from within. You yourselves know, these are not easy days, but instead of constantly taking refuge in nostalgia, we suggest you listen to the offerings of the new generations. Look ahead, abandon the rearview mirror.  For the twenty-third time in 2020, we supply fresh sounds thanks to twenty new songs coming from Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Mexico, which sound like Pop, Fusion, Folk, Hip Hop, Electronic and Rock. Among others, we added the new single from Sweet and Sour, the latest production of Dante Spinetta, the new publication of Astronaut Project and the most recent recording of Mon Laferte.

We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from June 12, 2020.
