At 2,600 meters above sea level, the Zonagirante.com editorial team, in the midst of their confinement, has felt nostalgic for the sand, the sun, the beach, a tropical drink, and bikinis swaying in front of the sea. Experiencing nighttime temperatures nearing the lowest point of the season, they miss the warmth., Walking around in skimpy clothes, the smell of rum, the ice cream vendor's shout. We've set up a hammock in the middle of the newsroom and painted the sky blue on the ceiling. Fridays have become piña colada nights, and even without leaving our rooms, we're using various sunscreens. Quarantine has driven us crazy.
For the twenty-fourth time in 2020, we are enveloped in new sonic tapestries thanks to twenty premiere tunes coming from Colombia, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Chile and Mexico, which sound like Pop, Fusion, Reggae, Folk, Hip Hop, Electronic and Rock. Among others, we added the new single from Drugs, the latest production of Lisandro Aristimuño, the new publication of Alejandro and Maria Laura and the most recent recording of Elkin Robinson.
We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from June 19, 2020.
