Doubts have invaded us again. When we talk to our friends via webcam, we no longer hear phrases like «"and when everything returns to normal,", either, «"when we meet again"». Now, hesitantly, we hear expressions like «"Who knows if we'll ever hug again?", "Forget about kisses, that's over now", "Our world is concentrated within these four walls.". We're like a roller coaster, now passing through the saddest valleys. We don't even miss anything anymore. Some of those who used to surround us are now spouting rhetoric about forgetting, where it's better to think that the past didn't exist and therefore wasn't better than what we are experiencing now. They claim that nostalgia can destroy us while we recover from this whole catastrophe. Perhaps they're right, but then we find ourselves looking at photos and videos of our best moments and refusing to believe that all of that is gone forever. Even so, we continue listening to music with the same hope as always. That's what keeps us going. So, it's time to turn up the volume and celebrate, even if we're locked in our homes.

For the thirtieth time in 2020, we rebuilt ourselves at home listening to twenty brand-new tunes from Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Chile and Mexico, and whose sound is related to labels such as Pop, Fusion, Folk, Hip Hop, Folklore, Electronic and Rock. Among others, we added the new single from Mule, the latest production of Mad Tree, the new publication of Sierra Leone and the most recent recording of Gepe.

We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist for July 31, 2020.
