September, and many of the countries on our continent have, right now, the worst leaders in their history. Some are calling for renewed war, others are burning their rainforests, in the south they are starving their people, and all of them, together, insist that their enemies are to blame for everything. All of them, as they say, lack heart and rock and roll. Maybe one or two of them strum a guitar, and there was one who sang a Queen song or two like a tortured chicken, but yes, they don't have what it takes, and they have plenty of malice. While all that changes, we still have the music. This week, as a kind of spiritual relief, we bring you the new Zonagirante.com playlist, featuring twenty great recordings from across Latin America. Two dozen incredibly interesting productions, ready to be listened to repeatedly. We've got tracks from Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Mexico, encompassing Pop, Folk, Fusion, Electronic, and Rock. Among others, we add the new single from The Spirits, the latest production of Torreblanca, the new publication of Alfonso Espriella and the most recent recording of Bitter Flower.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from September 2, 2019.
