The lives of those around us matter. Everyone is worth as much as they should be, regardless of where they come from or what they want. We at Zonagirante.com believe in peaceful protest against corrupt leaders or the excessive use of force by state security. We are appalled by the cynicism of those who deny what happened, even though there are videos showing them committing senseless crimes, wearing their horrifying smiles. We are outraged that those who know, those who don't know what they are doing in power, refuse to lower their heads, accept their mistakes and at least make an attempt to understand those who are in front of them, those who challenge them. We are appalled by the way the mainstream media handles these injustices, portraying the murdered victims as simply unfortunate souls who weren't in the right place at the wrong time. All life is sacred, even if it belongs to your fiercest adversary. All blood is ours, no matter what body it resides in. This has to change.
For the thirty-eighth time in 2020, we continue to believe in the need to say things clearly and precisely, while presenting twenty new songs made in Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Mexico, whose sound is related to labels such as Pop, Fusion, Folk, Hip Hop, Electronic and Rock. Among others, we added the new single from Camila Moreno, the latest production of Lucia Tacchetti, the new publication of Silver Rose and the most recent recording of The Fox Zapata.
We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist for September 25, 2020.
