February is the shortest month of the year. It's usually the month when we hear all the pent-up economic complaints from what happened in December. But, at the same time, it's when the cultural market truly returns to normal and artistic activities resume their usual frequency. We'll undoubtedly see this reflected in new music releases. This week we have new music, and so we present the fourth official playlist of the year, featuring 20 songs that have been available on digital platforms for a few days now. We have a compilation of recordings from Uruguay, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Panama, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, with sounds ranging from Pop and Electronic to Reggae, Caribbean Fusion, Folk, and Rock. Among others, we add the new single from Ruben Blades, the latest production of Kevin Johanssen, the new publication of The Suicide Bitches, and the most recent recording of The Walters.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from February 4, 2019.
