November, that month that struggles every year to survive and avoid being overshadowed by the early Christmas rush. It's the eleventh month of the year, and they make it look like the end of the line, as if the solar cycle were to end the moment we reach the Day of the Dead (What an unfortunate coincidence!). The city shop windows are already becoming scandalously bright and saturated with imported, overweight, bearded characters we've never met in person, and whom we've instead seen being clumsily copied by pathetic individuals who spend the rest of the year with far too much alcohol in their veins. Every year we ask that November be allowed to live with dignity, and every year our plea fails. Thankfully, the music world hasn't yet succumbed to the pressure of presenting annual hits at breakneck speed during these days and still gives us the chance to listen to new material. This week we continue to enjoy a variety of new releases, productions that help us build the updated playlist on Zonagirante.com, twenty songs made in our continent for the whole world. We have amazing recordings, ready to be heard by our followers. We bring you tunes made in Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Peru, Chile, and Mexico, with sounds ranging from Pop and Folk to Electronic, Folklore, Fusion, and Rock. Among others, we've added the new single from 1280 Souls, the latest production of Boom Boom Kid, the new publication of Mercury Toys and the most recent recording of Fernando Milagros.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from November 4, 2019.
