As we compile this list, the continent is in turmoil and the streets are filled with protest. We've been bombarded with harsh news, chilling images, hopeful cries, and disappointing speeches. It's a confusing, intriguing, and moving landscape. Is it an exaggeration to say that days will never be the same again, or has someone simply shaken things up, and should we just wait for everything to settle down and return to normal? We don't know whether to be optimistic, ironic, embrace disillusionment, or believe we're witnessing a new dawn. And yes, even if everything passes and nothing really changes, the music will always be playing to keep us smiling. This week we continue releasing new songs that shape our playlist, which is updated every Monday at Zonagirante.com. We're bringing you twenty tracks that enrich the sonic landscape we deserve on this side of the world. We have captivating recordings that will give us the perfect respite to heal our minor resentments, the result of these tumultuous days. We're featuring new music from Colombia, the United States, Argentina, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, encompassing Pop, Folk, Trap, Electronic, Folklore, Fusion, and Rock. Among others, we've added the new single from Mabiland, the latest production of Kanaku and the tiger, the new publication of I Want Club and the most recent recording of Chancho en Piedra.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from November 25, 2019.
