It's been a long time since we've experienced such an unsettling end to the year, with so much uncertainty in our streets and in our hearts. Every day, we receive countless videos on our phones and in our emails of what's happening in the protests, of the demands of the most vulnerable, of the complaints of those who suffer the most, of the indifference of those who yearn for the past, of the cynics who claim to know nothing about what's being discussed in the demonstrations, in the shouts, in the popular fervor. This unease dwells in the very being of everyone in this region. Could music bring relief from this jumble of conflicting emotions that pervades our human fragility? This week, as we begin the final month of this eventful year, we continue to showcase new music. With twenty of these tracks, we've created our playlist, which is updated every Monday at Zonagirante.com. We're offering you twenty sonic productions that will attempt to soothe the wounds of these challenging times. We have moving recordings, auditory beacons that signal brighter horizons, ready to be heard and experienced by our audience. We bring you recently released material from Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, and Mexico, encompassing Pop, Folk, Trap, Hip Hop, Electronic, Fusion, and Rock. Among others, we've added the new single from Dante Spinetta, the latest production of Drugs, the new publication of Always Alive Daisy and the most recent recording of LaTorre.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from December 2, 2019.
