Our editor-in-chief spoke with us this week to try and calm our anxieties, since, as you all know, this year has been catastrophic in many ways. More than one of us has seen our reserves of peace of mind, our savings, and our desire to reconnect with the rest of humanity crumble. Since hugs are currently suspended in the office, comforts are simply glances that seem to have the usefulness of any gesture from a teddy bear. We play music all day, but as a precaution and following recommendations from other companies, we're not playing nostalgic songs or the greatest hits that made us think the past was always better. Others have added reasons to complain about their daily lives, from noticing that the sweetener in the cafeteria has changed to cut costs, to the impossibility of feeling comfortable watching a game where there's no audience, only pre-recorded shouts. Some of our most memorable idols have left us, and what remains are disastrous and mediocre leaders who don't know what they're doing and laugh about it. In any case, our editor-in-chief, with a laugh that sounded strange to us at first, has told us that others have lived through worse times than ours and that what we are suffering are merely crude examples of the discouragement of other times. Do we believe him, or are we definitely looking for a replacement for his position, using the excuse of post-quarantine madness, so that we can continue lamenting without remedy?
Meanwhile, for the forty-seventh time in 2020, We turned up the volume on our equipment, and we released two dozen new songs made in Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Uruguay, Chile and Mexico, whose sound is related to labels such as Pop, Fusion, Folk, Hip Hop, Electronic and Rock. Among others, we've added the new single from Nortec: Bostich + Fuse, the latest production of Drugs, the new publication of The Rabbis and the most recent recording of Boom Boom Kid.
We repeat once again our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist for November 27, 2020.
