December is a tough month for those who haven't been in love for a while. Some experts say that the lack of that feeling hardens the heart and leads to distrust of every phrase that extols the affections and longings others have experienced. December makes those afflicted think that everything is ripe for the sentimental and the naive, and not for those who look with disdain upon the possibility of sincere kisses, passionate embraces, and furtive, knowing glances. For many of these poor souls, including some members of our team, luckily there is music. There's a sweet deception in some tunes that keeps us alert, just in case that loved one appears to rescue us from this misfortune. This being our penultimate weekly playlist, we only hope that, in presenting these twenty new songs, you find in one of them the delight needed to soothe your sorrows and smile for no other reason than the need to ease your soul for a moment. Here we present two dozen recordings made with the intention of leaving a lasting memory, a fond recollection that outlasts the recording itself. We bring you brand-new material from Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, and Mexico, featuring Pop, Folk, Electronic, Fusion, and Rock sounds. Among others, we've added the new single from Lisandro Aristimuño, the latest production of Vol-au-vent, the new publication of The Other Group and the most recent recording of Vultures.
We repeat our favorite phrase for these kinds of occasions: Find your headphones, step away from the world and listen. This is the Zonagirante.com playlist from December 16, 2019.
