Playing blues and jazz in restaurants, bars, and private events, but also writing songs diligently and performing every day, all the time. This year they released their first EP, which includes... Aura, the first song in Spanish by Los Makenzy that opened doors for them in Mexico and which foreshadows the beginning of a prominent career.
03. Plastic meat / Ze Fuga
Ze Fuga is a Colombian hip-hop artist based in Barcelona. He has been working non-stop in Europe since 2001 and released [album title missing] this year. a series of mature and magical songs. It's not a well-known name in Colombia, but it's worth starting to keep an eye on it. because it has a lot to offer.
04. I know what I want / Kali Uchis
Kali Uchis is the pop representative on this list. She's from Pereira, Colombia, and lives in Alexandria, Virginia. It is making a proper entry into the difficult North American Pop market. He's collaborated with Snoop Dogg and Diplo, to name just two. This year he released a very cohesive album, from which I'd highlight "Rock Steady.". Can it be called that?
05. Mariguané / Stars of the Caribbean

06. Amazon / Rionegro

08. Hips / Bomba Estéreo
Next up was Bomba Estéreo, who in 2015 released their first album with Sony Music, reaffirming a solid career which is paving the way for many local projects. 09. Around di Block / Hety and Zambo

10. The Redi / Zero39
Cero39 is one of the most interesting independent projects of the moment. Creole sounds reinterpreted and translated into the language of the European electronic avant-garde. 11. Panther Bear Crocodile / Sultana
Mauricio Álvarez is behind not only Cero39, but also Sultana, where he collaborates with Jacobo Álvarez, Flaco Flow, Melanina, and La Ruca. They are reinventing Cali-style salsa. It's not Salsa Choke, really, it's not easily defined, but it's very good and a great dancer.
