For some time now, due to a bill in the Senate, presented by Daniel Filmus, of the Front for Victory, March 10th of each year was established as the day of the Argentine rock guitarist, in homage to the teacher Norberto “Pappo” Napolitano, Born in La Paternal, Buenos Aires exactly 67 years ago. To celebrate his work and that of his colleagues, we have put together a Latin set featuring samples from the best guitarists in that country, encompassing different styles and sonic sensations, starting with the best periods of Claudio Gabis, of Manal, From the late sixties to the present day, stars like Patricio Sardeli are featured. Airbag.

We have included in this list, of course, classics such as Luis Alberto Spinetta (we will remember it in times of Rabid Fish), Gustavo Cerati (Do you remember his album with Daniel Melero?), David Lebón,  and Ricardo Soule, from Vox Dei. We will relate to the interpretive intelligence of Ariel Minimal y Fernando Ruiz Díaz (Catupecu Machu). We will go through the intense, corrosive interpretations of Walter Giardino (White Rat), «Chizzo» Napoli (La Renga), Claudio Marciello (Almafuerte), Skay Beilinson and, of course, our particular hero, Ricardo Mollo (Divided). Female representation is not left behind, and we bring up 3 wonderful women: The much missed Maria Gabriela Epumer, Lula Bertordi (Eruca Sativa) and Mariela Talento (Metamorphic).

We hope you enjoy this selection. And while you listen to this short playlist, if you can, raise a glass to the eternal spirit of Norberto Aníbal Napolitano., He deserves that and much more, on his day.
